Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for treatment of breathing problems in people who have asthma or certain other breathing diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as advised by your physician.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Do not stop using this drug or change the suggested dosage without your doctor`s approval. Ask your physician regarding the dose suitable for your situation.
More Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects can worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Use Albuterol with caution. Do not drive or perform
other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how
you respond to this drug. If your
symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor.
If your ordinary dose does not work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to take it more often
than usually, visit your doctor
at once. This can be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your physician may need to change
your dosage or medicine. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been directed. Don't take less or
more or take it more often than determined by your doctor.
