Drug Uses
Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other airway diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or longer. Don't stop using this drug or change the directed dosage without your physician`s approval. Consult your physician regarding the dose suitable for your situation.
Additional Information
Albuterol may cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects may worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Use Albuterol with caution. Do not drive or perform
other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how
you react to this medication. If your
symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your physician.
If your ordinary dosage doesn`t work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to take it more often
than normal, ask your physician
at once. This may be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your physician may need to change
your dose or drug. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or
more or take it more often than prescribed by your physician.
