Albuterol is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator. It is used for healing of breathing problems in patients who have asthma or certain other airway diseases. It can also be used for other conditions as prescribed by your physician.
How Taken
Albuterol should be taken with or without a meal. Albuterol works for up to 8 hours or more. Don't stop using this medication or change the recommended dosage without your physician`s approval. Visit your physician regarding the dose suitable for your condition.
More Information
Albuterol can cause dizziness or lightheadedness.
These effects can worsen if Albuterol is taken with
alcohol. Take Albuterol with caution. Don't drive or perform
other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how
you react to this medication. If your
symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor.
If your regular dose doesn`t work well,
your symptoms become worse, or you need to use it more often
than normal, notify your doctor
at once. This may be a sign of seriously worsening
asthma. Your physician may need to change
your dose or drug. Albuterol should be used only by the
patient for whom it has been recommended. Don't take less or
more or take it more often than suggested by your physician.
